Victoria falls

  • Victoria falls, a waterfall in Scotland
  • Victoria falls, a waterfall in Scotland
Description
Enjoy wonderful views over Loch Maree. Follow a short path to the viewing area to see the falls. They’re named after Queen Victoria, who visited in 1877. The water tumbling down the falls comes from Beinn Eighe, the impressive bulk of mountain to the south of the loch. It’s a National Nature Reserve, and well worth exploring to see the ancient Caledonian Pinewood and mountain environment. Follow the short, wide, firm surfaced path along to discover veiled views of the waterfall from the viewing area. The route continues along a steeper path upstream, with more views of the falls and over Loch Maree, before looping back to the car park.
