Salmon fishing on Loch Maree
Description
The salmon season runs from spring until autumn, with the sea trout arriving in June. Techniques include dapping, using a long rod with a light, floss line to dangle a bushy fly on the surface. The estate can advise on obtaining a permit from the Loch Maree Hotel for a memorable day’s fishing on what is arguably the most beautiful loch in Scotland.
There is a strict catch and release policy to preserve stocks.
